SURAT THANI BOUND

We had arranged to meet Lan in the hotel lobby bright and early but she was running on Thai time so we made sure we took our time at breakfast!

We were met by Lan and Newy who drove us to JJ market in Bangkok. It was massive and there was so much to buy! I walked away with a new dress, T-Shirt and an elephant bag which I was very happy with, it only cost about a pound!

I didn't mange to take any photos in the market but this is a Birdseye view of the roof of a tiny section of it. The good thing about it was that it was a little touristy but most people there were Thai, we also had the help of Lan and Newy to haggle a Thai price for us instead of the usual raised tourist price!

The JJ market was fairly eye opening as it was my first sighting of a squat toilet in Thailand. If they're not horrific enough, you had to pay 10 Baht for this one (roughly 20p) and it was overflowing!

So after that traumatic experience, Newy dropped us off at the airport so we could catch our flight down south to Surat Thani!

Once in the airport we grabbed some food in McDonalds and nearly missed our flight. Well done us I know. It was on final call and we got a few dirty looks as we got on the plane but hey ho, we made it!

We flew with Air Asia which seems to be Thailand's version of Easy Jet. The cabin crew even wore jeans... Casual!
