I'm so excited and recently found out that I will be teaching for 9 weeks in Wat Ban Song Primary School which is located in the Wiang Sa District, Surat Thani. I am really happy about the location of my school as i'm not too far from the islands of Ko Samui and Ko Pha-ngan which are on my list of places to visit whilst i'm in Thailand so I will definitely be heading in that direction at some point! I was also pleased to discover that I am placed with another ETA, however I have found out that the person that I was placed with has withdrawn so I am now hoping that they find someone else as I have heard from last year's ETA's that it can sometimes get a bit lonely and that being able to speak to someone without a language barrier is very much appreciated!
I haven't booked my flights yet but I plan to after I have been to the pre-departure briefing on the 23rd April in Manchester. I'm really excited to find out more information about how I will be spending my summer and to meet other people who will also be taking part on the program through the British Council.
I will be updating this blog throughout the summer to keep my family and friends posted with what i'm up to and I'm also writing it as I think it will be great to look back on my adventures in a few years.
